The Intermediate/ Advanced PowerPoint 2013 training course aims to give delegates a greater understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. We provide Microsoft PowerPoint at your site in Dorset, Wiltshire or Hampshire.

Course Objectives

On completion of the course delegates will have improved their skills in using Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. They will be able to:

  • Create and edit slides using a variety of layouts and styles
  • Add additional objects to slides
  • Use formatting to create a consistent, sophisticated presentation
  • Understand the elements of good slide design
  • Combine information from other applications into a PowerPoint presentation

The course is of one day’s duration.

How the course is run – This instructor-led course has a hands-on approach, with plenty of opportunity for delegates to practise the new skills they learn at the computer.

Pre-requisites – Familiarity with the Windows environment, and a basic knowledge of PowerPoint.

  • Positioning and aligning pictures images and drawn objects
  • Omitting background graphics from slides
  • Applying semi-transparent, 3-D, shadowed and background fill effects to pictures, images and drawn objects
  • Using the Format Painter
  • Adjusting depth of images
  • Cropping and proportionately rescaling an image
  • Rotating, mirroring and flipping an image
  • Applying effects to images
  • Converting an image into greyscale or black and white format
  • Converting an image into a file format such as: bmp, gif, jpeg format

  • SmartArt – creating, formatting, changing layout, changing colours
  • Converting PowerPoint text to SmartArt graphics
